Episcopal Church - Vieques, Puerto Rico
Someone may say, "You have faith, and I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds, but I will show you my faith with my deeds."
James 2:18
We extend a warm welcome to you in this, your church, which has been at the heart of the Vieques community for more than 145 years. We are an inclusive church that celebrates and affirms every person and does not discriminate.
We will continue to challenge the Church wherever discrimination against individuals persists on the grounds of disability, economic status, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, intellectual disability, mental health, neurodiversity, sexual orientation, or immigration status.
We are faithful to the Scriptures; we seek to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus' Liberating Salvation in a renewed way for each generation; and, in the power of the Holy Spirit, we enable all people to comprehend the breadth, length, height, and depth of the love of Jesus Christ. Our house is your house.
Following Christ's example, we embrace diversity in all its forms.
We affirm and celebrate people of all sexual orientations and gender identities. All are welcome to participate fully in the life of our church.
Our space is accessible and welcoming to people with limited mobility, who are blind, and with other needs. We offer support and adapt our activities for full participation.
As a community in Vieques, we celebrate our multicultural heritage and welcome people of all ethnic backgrounds and immigration statuses.
"There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:28
